Batumi works well with children. Mornings on the pebble beach, afternoons cycling the seven-kilometre boulevard and sunsets by the moving statue of Ali and Nino.
Spend half a day in the Botanical Garden on the Green Cape — it is huge, so take the little electric car to the top. Inland, the Makhuntseti waterfall and the Mtirala rainforest are short drives away.
