Khachapuri Map: Eight Regions, Eight Cheese Breads
Adjarian, Imeretian, Megrelian and the ones you have never heard of.

Every region of Georgia has its own khachapuri. Imeretian is the round everyday version, filled with salty imeruli cheese. Megrelian adds a second layer of cheese on top. Adjarian is the boat with a raw egg and butter stirred in at the table.
In the mountains look for penovani (puff pastry), achma (layered like lasagna) and Racha’s bean-filled lobiani. Svaneti answers with kubdari, filled with spiced meat.
