The Military Highway: Stop by Stop
From Tbilisi to the Russian border in a day.

The Georgian Military Highway follows the Aragvi and Tergi rivers over the Jvari pass for about 200 km. Stop at the Zhinvali reservoir and Ananuri fortress, eat khinkali in Pasanauri, stand on the Friendship Monument balcony above Gudauri and walk up to Gergeti Trinity Church.
Beyond Stepantsminda the road narrows into the Dariali gorge, where a monastery guards the border crossing.
