Overview

Discover Tbilisi through the places where its history, faith, wine and everyday life meet. This city tour begins with the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi, known as Sameba, and the statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of the city. In Abanotubani, walk through the historic sulfur bath district and see the Bridge of Love before continuing along the cobblestone streets of Shardeni. The route also takes you through the old Karvasla Bazaar and across the Peace Bridge, linking the city’s traditional streets with its modern architecture. The tour continues to Rostam Palace, home to a 300-year-old wine cellar. Here you will learn about Georgia’s 8,000-year winemaking tradition and enjoy a Georgian wine tasting. You will also visit the Chronicle of Georgia, where large sculpted columns tell the story of the country. At the end of the tour, sit down for lunch at an Iranian restaurant in Tbilisi with a pleasant view of the city.
